The Miramar Series.

Miramar: The back story.
As you all know Piso operates from Goa and is completely skater owned brand. Miramar is a beach in the capital city of Goa, where most of us grew up. Back in the days when we were kids, we have spent most of our time sitting by the beach. So many lovely memories we have had! right from playing football, taking a swim in the ocean, catching those tiny little crabs, building sand castles, watching sunsets and the list goes on :). Miramar always has a special place in our hearts. In fact the very first skatepark build, which we all got to be a part of is right next to the Miramar beach (@skatelifegoa skatepark). Miramar: Coming up with this name for our new collection.
On Diwali 2023 our team decided to add a cruiser series boards in our products line up. For a very long time we were thinking what should we name this new line up of ours?. We thought about the name for month, but could not come up with anything which we all could connect easily with. We wanted a name which made us feel like- we are in flow with the nature, in rhythm, there is exploration, full of energy but still composed and calm, nostalgic, always vibrant etc. 

Our team was having a skate session with all the homies one evening around end of Jan 2024. Post session we were just chilling by the beach and discussing our old days and feeling nostalgic about it. We realized that Miramar beach has played such an important role in our lives to bring calmness and a certain kind of a flow within us (Only who have stayed by the beach will understand what we are talking about :). If you are reading this line and you stay by the beach, give a biggggg smile, its a blessing!). One of us said - 'Hey! why not name our boards 'The Miramar series collection'. That was it, finally we had the name which we were looking for :).

Miramar Series Collection:
So our Miramar series collection will have boards which will be more into cruiser segment. Boards which have more of flow, calmness, rythm, easy to go around without any issues. We are starting out with surfskates and will add more cruiser boards later by end of the year 2024 in the Miramar collection. This series will also have products which will not be related to skateboarding, random products to add the flow and rhythm in skatelife :).To begin with we have added the 'Piso Surfskate' to our Miramar line up, to know more details about the board you can click on the link here.

Well that was the story behind the name 'Miramar boards series'. Graphics in this series collection will be more towards vibrancy, exploration, waves and liveliness :). Even our Griptape design has a wavy structure merged with our Piso loop graphics to portray  'The waves of life'.
