Episode 6 - What are the future plans of Piso?

Namaskaram everybody! This is Vaibhav(founder), from Piso Skateboards :). How is everybody doing? Welcome back to the founder series. If you have not read the previous articles you can read them here. So today we are going to reveal our future plan with you guys. If you'll have been following us on our social media, you would have known that Piso has been working on 'Piso world', our new vision. Piso world is a very unique project where our primary focus is to make this world a better and a joyful place to live and grow. There will be 4 flagship programs which will be offered under the Piso World project in our phase 1. I have briefly explained the flagship programs and the vision behind them in this article. Lets Dive into it!

Piso World: What is Piso School all about?
The story goes back to 2019, when we took a break from our day to day work due to Covid and thought about what is that we really want to do with our lives. We were just going through a hunt for something new to do. But this time we wanted to do something even bigger, something bigger and not restricted to skateboarding, something which is more impactful and needed in the society. As we were researching we realized there is a big void in how we are raised up, especially in school, how society influences us and kills our creativity/freedom. Infact, you will be shocked to know that every year around 18,000 kids in the age group 13 to 15 commit suicide in India , out of which 70% suicides are due to academic pressure!

When I read this news, It took some time for me to digest. The age when I used to play football, cricket, table tennis etc., kids today are hanging their lives at that age. Age where kids should be exploring and having most fun with their lives, they are finding it easier to take their lives rather. Piso team and I were very disturbed by knowing this fact for quite a few days. That was it! we decided that from now on if Piso does something it'll be for the world and not just skateboarding or some small petty materialistic things. Hence the project 'Piso World'. In Piso World everyone is invited! be it a little kid or an 80 year old adult :). It's open for everyone.

Through Piso World we want to get joy back into kids and adults, as adults also are equally suffering in today's generation along with their kids. There is a huggeeeee generation gap between parents and their kids, which is growing at a very rapid pace. Lack of communication is becoming a very crucial and ugly factor in the parent-child relationship which often leads to disasters in various families. We are working on 4 flagship program which will be under the Piso World Project. Every program is designed to address a specific problem which our society is going through in today's world.

Joy of Learning :
Vision is to get the Joy of Learning back in kids, especially the teenagers.
This is a very special program specifically for kids of class 8th to 10th std. Today's kids have lost the joy of learning due to academic pressure and societal influence. So much so that kids are finding easy to hang their lives when they are supposed to live their life at their fullest. It's time to get joy of learning back into kids before it's too late. We will be teaching various skills to the kids which are needed and relevant in today's world. But this course will not be about learning a particular thing or a skill, it'll be about how to learn anything joyfully be it academics or any other aspect of life. The joy of learning, doing simple things joyfully is the message we want to pass to the upcoming generation. This will be a residential program happening during Diwali and summer vacations.

Piso Life Refresher program : 
Vision is to bridge the generation and communication gap between a parent and their child.
Namaskaram to all the adults out there! it's time to grow young again :). This program will be offered only for adults who have kids aged 10+. Most of the adults in the society face a hard time coping up with the generation gap between them & their kids. It has led to very ugly things in a whole lot of families. It's time to freshen up and loosen up everybody. Let's all go beyond the boundaries of generation gap. Let the generation gap never bother any adult out there any more :) Come be a part of this program. Its first of a kind program and will be out very soon.

Piso Life Revamp Program :
Vision is to teach the youth those things which are relevant and makes sense in today's world.
This program is designed to teach today's youth those subjects which are needed and relevant in today's world. It'll have various specialization courses for different types of individuals like general purpose, artist specific, skater specific etc. As the name suggests, it'll Revamp and guide you through all the things/skills, which should have been taught in school and colleges. Sadly what is taught in today's educational institutions is no longer relevant and does not make much sense with respect to what world demands.

Joy of Business :
Vision is to address the Joy of Doing business, solving problems, and not getting blinded in the process which often leads to disasters.
This program will address the issue that if you don't enjoy doing business, it'll suck in everything you have got & yourself like a black hole. Joy comes first, rest comes later. Doing business is not that hard as its being portrayed by the society and social media. Business just means cracking the demand & supply formula in a particular sector/hobby/passion which interests you the most. It's no big deal :) !... But the catch lies in, is it becoming a joyful process or a stressful process? We'll go through important aspects of doing business in this program which 99% of the people fail to address at the very beginning stages and are trapped in it later. You won't be just learning how to do business here, but you will also be learning how to do business JOYFULLYYY!! There is something much more important when it comes to business apart from economics, that's what this course is about. Let's all do business joyfully and create a better and healthy world for tomorrow.
