Welcome back everybody to our annual highlights blog of the yearly event Skatelifegoa Open. This years SLG Open took place on 5th of April 2025, which was a bright sunny Saturday! It was hosted at the Youth Hostel Skatepark, Miramar, Goa. The event started with skate lessons at around 4.45pm, which was open to all age groups. The Best tricks contests started at 5.30pm. The contest is basically, a skater has to perform a trick on a designated skate obstacles. Whoever does the best trick wins the cash prize! We had 3 categories this year - Kids, Girls & Guys category. Longest Ollie contest started at 7.30pm around where the skater who jumps the longest with his skateboard wins the contest. Post 8.20pm was the last contest of the day which is called cash for tricks, where everyone can participate. A cash prize is given to the skaters for landing a trick. The criteria is we should see you pushing with your board to level up yourself. If we see you are breaking your limitation/boundaries in the process, you get the cash prize for landing that trick.
All in all this year was a superr chill & fun event. This year participants were much higher as compared to last year. Skaters had come from various part of the country to enjoy the vibe and skate culture of Goa. Best part about this years event was we receieved lot of girls participating! It was great to see the girls shredding out with their board at the contest. For all those who could not make it this year, DO COME NEXT YEAR!!!
